Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the young people
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children, including activities such as climbing, baking, or weekend breaks in places like Butlins
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children by following care plans and guidelines
- Provide emotional and practical support to young people within the home
- Support behaviour management and help minimise challenging incidents
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety procedures
Requirements
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
