Vetro Social Care is seeking dedicated Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our team in Banwell, with immediate starts available.

Position Overview

As a Children’s Support Worker, you will work alongside an experienced team of managers and support staff in a welcoming and nurturing environment. You will provide day‑to‑day care, support, and encouragement to children in a residential setting, fostering their independence and well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with daily activities, interests, and development needs, promoting their independence and confidence.
  • Facilitate participation in recreational activities, outings, and trips, including weekends away and holidays, from outdoor adventures to social outings like trips to Butlins.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment by adhering to care plans and safeguarding policies.
  • Offer emotional and practical support tailored to each child’s individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help de‑escalate challenging situations, ensuring the safety and welfare of all residents.
  • Attend and assist during special events, outings, and activities that enhance social skills and social interactions.

Ideal Candidate Profile
