Job Description
Our client, a welcoming primary school in Chester, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive learning environment and support children’s educational and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Assisting individuals and small groups with learning activities.
- Providing feedback on pupil engagement and progress.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Preparing and utilising learning materials, including ICT resources.
- Helping to create stimulating classroom displays.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) OR the ability to meet STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards.
- Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
- Understanding of child protection and health & safety procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students.
