Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in a children's residential home, ensuring smooth shift transitions during early, late, long, and sleep-in shifts.
  • Provide direct support and mentorship to children and young people, fostering a positive and caring environment.
  • Lead and support staff teams to deliver high-quality care and intervention.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment promoting the emotional and physical wellbeing of children.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce, a degree in Health and Social Care, or currently working towards this.
  • Driving Licence: Full, clean driving licence is essential; unfortunately, candidates without it cannot be considered.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a residential childcare setting or similar role is required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to support and supervise staff effectively.
