This is an exciting opportunity to support children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs in a nurturing classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to students with SEN/SEBD, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons.
- Assist the Class Teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual student needs.
- Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
- Foster inclusive classroom practices that promote confidence, independence, and engagement among pupils.
- Supervise and assist pupils during classroom activities and breaks, maintaining their well-being and safety.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational plans and behavioural strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or other special educational needs (preferred).
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Enthusiastic about creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
- Reliable and committed to working full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
