Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation in housing and support services, is seeking a dedicated Supported Housing Manager to oversee service delivery across multiple projects in Cardiff. This role involves working closely with teams to ensure high-quality support for vulnerable individuals, including those with complex needs, in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing teams to deliver housing-related support to vulnerable individuals aged 16 and over.
- Overseeing project performance, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organisational standards.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies, including Social Services and Housing.
- Managing referrals, risk assessments, safeguarding concerns, and safety planning to ensure the safety and well‑being of individuals supported.
- Participating in the on‑call rota, providing telephone and in‑person support outside of standard hours.
- Monitoring budgets, authorising expenditure, and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
- Contributing to continuous service improvement through audits, case reviews, and reflective practice sessions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- An educational qualification such as a Diploma level or equivalent (QCF Level 2 or 3).
- Proven experience in line management within a support environment, supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health, trauma, or substance misuse.
- Knowledge of housing and homelessness issues affecting vulnerable populations.
- Experience in risk management, safeguarding, and safety planning.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with partner agencies and support teams.
- A driving licence and access to a car.
