Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Cover Supervisor to join our team in Cardiff. This role offers flexible working arrangements across top secondary schools in the area, allowing you to choose when, where, and how often you work. As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring smooth classroom operations in the absence of teachers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 classes across various subjects.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans—no planning or marking required!
- Creating a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment.
- Supporting student engagement and managing classroom behaviour using school policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree or relevant education/training credentials.
- 3 months experience working with young people (e.g., teaching assistant, tutor, youth worker).
- Strong communication skills and confidence in managing classroom behaviour.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting pupils in Cardiff.
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous, though not essential, given the excellent public transport links across Cardiff.
