An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Team Manager to join a leading specialist provider dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism. The Support Team Manager in this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person‑centred care in Caerphilly and Hengoed. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by leading dedicated support teams and ensuring excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage support staff teams to deliver person‑centred support and care planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding standards and maintain current staff training.
  • Promote active participation and independence for the people supported, encouraging community involvement.
  • Manage services within budget, overseeing care hours, rotas, and contracts.
  • Implement and update support plans and risk assessments, involving individuals and their circles of support.
  • Foster a positive health, safety, and well‑being culture across services.
  • Support continuous improvement by acting on feedback from individuals and their families.
  • Deliver services in accordance with contractual and legislative requirements, including C IW Standards, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding.
  • Ensure the delivery of Active Support strategies aligned with organisational goals.

Requirements:

  • QCF level 4/5 management qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Minimum of 1 year's management experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience liaising with external agencies, families, and representatives.
  • Knowledge of legislative guidelines such as C IW Standards, Mental Capacity Act, and DOLS.
  • Full UK driving license and flexibility to participate in an ‘Out of Hours’ service.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and peer groups.
