Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Caerphilly. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a positive impact on learners in Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE classes. The successful Science Teacher will be expected to start immediately and contribute to the school’s success until at least the end of the summer term 2026, with potential for extension into September.
Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work where required
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Incorporate both classroom and lab-based activities to stimulate student interest
- Manage behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 1 year of Science teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs)
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to assist with registration
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
