We are recruiting a PE Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Caerphilly, Caerphilly County Borough. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with an immediate start and strong potential to continue through to the end of the summer term 2027 (with possible continuation beyond).
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging PE lessons across Year 7, 8 and 9, plus GCSE classes in a secondary school setting in Caerphilly
- Planning and preparing lessons (including schemes of work where required) in line with the national curriculum
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and working in line with the school’s behaviour management policies
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or recognised overseas equivalent)
- At least 1 year of PE teaching experience (exceptions may be considered for NQTs)
- EWC registration (Education Workforce Council) or willingness to register (support available)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
