A Health and Social Care Teacher is required for a full-time contract role in Caerphilly, Wales, within a supportive secondary school environment. This is an immediate start opportunity, teaching learners across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging Health and Social Care lessons across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE classes
- Planning lessons and schemes of work (where required) aligned to the national curriculum
- Using a blend of classroom and ICT/lab-based activities to support varied learning styles
- Managing behaviour consistently in line with school policies and expectations within the Caerphilly secondary setting
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas equivalent
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions may be considered for NQTs)
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (support available)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
