Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school in Caerphilly. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a positive impact on learners in Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE classes. The role offers flexibility, support, and the chance to become an integral part of the school’s English team from day one. The position is part-time, with an immediate start, and is expected to run until the end of the summer term 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, including GCSE classes.
  • Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work where necessary.
  • Deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage learners through classroom and lab-based activities.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Support learners to achieve their full potential through effective teaching and encouragement.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions may apply for NQTs).
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
  • Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available.
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps).
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
