We are seeking a dedicated Service Manager to oversee daily operations within a supported living environment in the North Wales region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a friendly team and deliver person-centred support that promotes independence and enrichment for individuals with learning difficulties.
Location: Caernarfon, Gwynedd
Salary: £34,416 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, with shift patterns including weekends
Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of two support services, ensuring high-quality, personalised care for six residents with diverse interests. Your role will involve delivering motivational leadership to your team, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. You will regularly review support plans, service delivery, risk assessments, and progress logs, following best practices in person-centred and relationship-centred Active Support.
Supporting your team development is vital; you will be coaching support workers to solve problems creatively and develop their skills. The focus will be on enabling individuals to achieve their highest levels of support and independence, ensuring everyday moments are truly remarkable.
Candidate Requirements:- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or in social care settings
- Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or actively working towards it
- Strong, caring nature and commitment to enriching lives
- Effective communication skills and the ability to influence others
- Knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
- Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as needed
- Welsh language skills are desirable to support Welsh-speaking individuals effectively
- Own transport and willingness to travel for meetings and training; access to vehicle insurance and a driver's licence are required
- Ability to demonstrate a genuine commitment to Safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for service users
