Job Title: Teacher of Mathematics

Location: Monmouth, Wales, NP18 1PP

Salary: £173 per day minimum

Employment Type: Part-time - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a highly successful and dynamic department in Monmouth from January 2027 (or earlier). This role offers the opportunity to become part of an experienced team in a school renowned for its excellent academic results and inclusive ethos. The successful candidate will have the chance to teach A-Level Mathematics, including Pure, Mechanics, Statistics, and Further Mathematics, in a thriving Sixth Form.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with a focus on A-Level courses.
  • Supporting students to achieve high standards in Mathematics, including Further Mathematics and Statistics.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the Mathematics department and participating in school-wide initiatives.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to maximise learning outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.
  • A passion for inspiring students and raising aspirations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
