Salary: Up to £32,100 per annum (including sleep-in allowance) + additional benefits

Job Description:

Our client, a leading provider of children’s residential care, is seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their expanding team in Burton-on-Trent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with learning disabilities within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children and young people to create positive outcomes and promote independence
  • Assisting with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and feeding
  • Leading and supervising team members, conducting supervisions, and supporting team development
  • Supporting the daily running of the home and contributing to senior management decisions
  • Engaging in activities such as play, cooking, and community involvement
  • Creating, updating, and adhering to individual care and risk assessments
  • Working in partnership with other agencies and attending reviews as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or NVQ Level 3/4 in Children, Young People & Family Practitioner (essential)
  • Experience working in a children’s home setting, particularly with learning disabilities (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Passion for nurturing young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes
  • Ability to work shift patterns, including sleep-ins
