This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a small, committed team supporting young people aged 8–18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and motivate young people through activities that encourage responsibility and independence appropriate to their age.
- Create a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Safely support and de‑escalate challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with parents, social workers, psychologists, and other professionals to support each child’s individual care plan.
- Protect young people from risks, maintaining a safe environment at all times.
- Support young people in developing life skills, fostering resilience and social development.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential—training will be provided.
- Must hold a full UK manual driving licence, as transport support is part of the role.
- Over 21 and able to commute to Buntingford.
