Salary: £14.24 - £26.76 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the young residents
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children, including activities like climbing, baking, or weekend breaks in holiday parks
  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people within the home
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children by adhering to care plans and guidelines
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents effectively
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety procedures

Requirements

  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months’ experience working with children or in a similar social care setting
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
