Are you enthusiastic, resilient, and driven to enrich and make a difference in the lives of young people? Vetro Social Care is recruiting Children's Support Workers for Children Residential Services. You will be working 2:1 with other staff members and children in their homes.

  • Pay: £14.24 - £28.48 inclusive of holiday pay

  • Time: 10:00 - Sleep – 10:00

  • Driving Licence and Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People

What you’ll be doing as a Children's Worker

  • Support the children and young people in all day‑to‑day activities and interests
  • Be restraint trained, or be willing to undergo the 3‑day course
  • Promote the young person’s independence and wellbeing
  • Attend weekends away, holidays and trips with the children
  • Attend weekend and evening activities to support the children in their interests (e.g., climbing, baking cakes, weekend stays at Butlins)
  • Protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide emotional and practical support within your home
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
  • Support, overcome, and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging

What you’ll need to be a successful Children's Support Worker

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months experience of working with children or within a similar social care setting
  • TMVA restraint training certificate
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
