An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager in a leading specialist provider of health and social care services. Based in Barry, the Deputy Manager will oversee two services, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The Deputy Manager in this position will work closely with the service manager and staff to ensure high-quality support, promote independence, and foster positive well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care.
  • Support 1-1 sessions and promote positive well-being and independence among service users.
  • Work alongside the service manager to maintain high standards of support and compliance.
  • Participate in an on-call system to ensure continuous service delivery.
  • Support adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs within residential and respite settings.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that respects individual differences and encourages growth.

Requirements

  • QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to work towards QCF Level 4.
  • Experience with electronic systems and processing programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to communicate effectively.
  • Positive outlook with a supportive, compassionate approach.
  • Ability to motivate others and promote continuous improvement.
  • Driver essential, as the role involves working across two services.
