Job Title: Administration Manager

Salary: £32,178 - £34,938 per annum

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administration Manager to oversee administrative, facilities, and health & safety services across our clients' sites in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Based within a rural setting at the foot of the Preseli Mountains, this role offers a unique opportunity to support a specialised educational environment dedicated to practical land and craft activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the college’s administrative functions, including reception, records, and general support for the Senior Management Team.
  • Overseeing health and safety compliance, conducting audits, and maintaining records across both sites.
  • Leading facilities management, including overseeing cleaning schedules, managing service contracts, and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Supporting procurement processes, budget management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Contributing to quality assurance activities, including inspection preparations and reporting.
  • Supervising administrative staff, motivating teams, and supporting professional development.
  • Ensuring effective communication with external bodies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing administration functions within a busy environment.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance processes.
  • High levels of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Experience within education or a regulated setting is desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, are preferred.
  • Mandatory compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and safer recruitment training.
