An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated RE Teacher to join a secondary school in Aberdare. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a passionate educator who can hit the ground running and become an integral part of the school's RE team from day one. The position involves teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students, including GCSE classes, with an immediate start and the potential to remain until the end of the summer term 2024.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Prepare classrooms for lessons and plan schemes of work where required
  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Use classroom and lab‑based activities to engage learners
  • Work in accordance with the school’s behaviour management policies

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of RE teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs)
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
  • Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available
  • References covering the last two years with no gaps
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
