About the Role

The Event and Training Facilitator is the face of our L&D events offer, connecting colleagues across small animal, farm, and equine practices with high-quality training and CPD. Your practice background means you understand what makes learning land for working vets and their teams, and you will use that insight to plan, deliver, and continually improve our events. This is a hands-on, people-facing role for someone who thrives on proactive communication and works confidently across different parts of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan, organise, and deliver in-person and online training events and CPD sessions across small animal, farm, and equine practices
  • Use practice experience to connect learners with the right events, content, and support at the right time
  • Manage event logistics end to end, including venues, bookings, attendee communication, and on-the-day delivery
  • Host and facilitate online sessions via Zoom, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for attendees
  • Build and deliver engaging content using PowerPoint and other presentation tools
  • Explore and apply AI tools to create more efficient processes for event planning, content preparation, and follow-up
  • Work proactively across multiple functions of the business, building strong relationships with practice teams, clinical leads, and central colleagues
  • Gather and act on feedback to continuously improve the quality and relevance of our training and events
  • Support the Graduate Development Programme through event delivery and pastoral contact with new graduates
  • Communicate confidently and clearly with colleagues at all levels, promoting training opportunities across the business

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working within a veterinary practice, essential to understanding learner needs and connecting people with the right events
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple events and competing deadlines
  • Confident user of Zoom for hosting and facilitating online training
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging presentation content
  • Excellent proactive communication skills, comfortable working across different teams and functions
  • A confident, approachable facilitation style, both in person and online
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to planning and logistics

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience using AI tools to create more efficient working processes
  • Experience supporting or delivering a Graduate Development Programme
  • Experience working with farm or equine practices specifically
  • Eventbrite or similar event booking platform experience
