Junior Operations Project Manager
We're keen to welcome a Junior Operations Project Manager to join us in the Operations Support Team at Vet Partners.
As a fast-growing veterinary group, we're looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Operations Support team and begin developing a career in project management.
About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of operational projects, business integrations and initiatives across the UK and Ireland.
Working closely with and learning from experienced Project Managers.

- What you will be doing
- Building clear project plans, trackers and documentation, keeping actions, risks and issues on track throughout each project.
- Working with practices, business teams and stakeholders, gathering information and requirements to set projects up for success.
- Coordinating actions across areas such as banking, suppliers, contracts, insurance, utilities and other operational changes.
- Supporting practices, businesses, and the project management team throughout the project lifecycle, responding to queries and helping resolve challenges.
- Supporting a broad range of operational projects, including practice mergers, site relocations, new site launches, and wider business change activities.
- Identifying risks and challenges early, taking practical action, and escalating issues when needed.
- Capturing balanced and rounded 'lessons learned' post project completion, to help continually improve project processes, tools and ways of working.
- What we are looking for
Essential
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with people at different levels.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- A willingness to learn, ask questions and work with guidance and coaching while developing your project management skills.
- Flexibility to travel when required.
- Experience in a veterinary practice or similar environment.
- Nice to have
- A project management qualification. (If you don’t already hold a suitable project management qualification, a willingness to undertake one, with support and coaching).
- Experience supporting project delivery within a large and complex organisational environment.
- An understanding of how business finance works.

- Monday to Friday.
- 37.5 hours per week.
