We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) to join our team at Chine House Veterinary Hospital on a 9–12 month maternity cover basis.

We would also consider applications from 3rd year Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs).

Chine House is a friendly, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high standards of patient care.

We are proud to run our own out-of-hours service, providing continuity of care for our patients.

Our purpose-built hospital is well-equipped, featuring

  • Separate cat, dog, and exotic wards
  • 4 operating theatres
  • Dedicated dental and imaging suites
  • In-house laboratory and digital X-ray
  • Multiple consulting rooms

We also have a separate Equine Hospital on site, making this a diverse and interesting environment to work in.

The Team

You’ll be joining a large, supportive team comprising

  • 11 Small Animal Vets
  • 18 RVNs and SVNs
  • 3 Auxiliary Nurses
  • 13 Reception Team Members

Our structure ensures that auxiliary employees manage theatre prep, cleaning, and equipment, allowing you to focus fully on nursing duties and patient care.

The Role

This is a busy and rewarding role in a fast-paced hospital environment, ideal for a nurse who is enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to build on their clinical skills.

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Shifts between 7:00am – 8:00pm
  • Includes OOH, night, and weekend shifts
  • Opportunity to work with exotics cases (full training provided)

We actively encourage professional development and support CPD and certificate study.

  • Qualified RVN (or 3rd year SVN)

  • A genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care
  • Interest in exotics is advantageous but not essential
