We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a large, busy, and well-established practice, working across multiple sites with a varied caseload.
The Role
- 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
- Shifts between 7:30am – 7:30pm
- 1 in 4 weekend day shifts (with time off in lieu)
- Work across our three sites: Petersfield, Horndean, and Farlington
- No out-of-hours (supported by a dedicated night team)
You’ll be involved in all aspects of nursing, including:
- Theatre and anaesthesia
- Inpatient care
- Nurse clinics
- General nursing duties
About the Practice
We are a large, busy practice with a strong nursing team made up primarily of RVNs. We actively encourage our nurses to fully utilise their skills, including:
- Blood sampling
- IV placement
- Radiography
- Dental scale and polishes
We offer a supportive environment and are always happy to help develop skills in areas where confidence may be building. Our team works closely together to deliver the highest standards of patient care—and we pride ourselves on a positive, friendly atmosphere both in and out of work.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified RVN
- Is confident working both independently and as part of a larger team
- Enjoys a varied caseload, from routine procedures to emergencies
- Has excellent time management and organisational skills
- Is proactive, reliable, and team-focused
- Ideally holds a full driving licence and access to a vehicle
