Are you an RVN looking for a role that allows you to focus on what you do best: building relationships with clients, delivering excellent patient care, and making a real difference through nurse consultations?

We are excited to be creating a dedicated Nurse Consulting Role within our friendly, RCVS-accredited practice in Greenock. This position is designed around nurse appointments and preventative healthcare, offering the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with both clients and their pets.

We're open-minded about how this role could work and are happy to discuss a variety of working patterns. Whether you're looking for part-time hours, a few days per week, or a position that fits around family commitments and school hours, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for an RVN who enjoys client interaction and wants to be at the forefront of nurse-led care.

Your role will involve:

  • Running nurse consultations and clinics
  • Supporting preventative healthcare initiatives
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and their pets
  • Delivering weight clinics, senior pet clinics, puppy and kitten advice, and other nurse-led services
  • Promoting patient welfare and client education
  • Helping develop and expand our range of nursing services

We are keen to grow our nurse clinics and give the successful candidate the opportunity to help shape and develop these services.

While the primary focus of the position will be nurse consultations and client care, we are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and is happy to provide occasional support to our ward and theatre teams during periods of annual leave, sickness cover, or particularly busy times. This allows the role to remain varied while ensuring excellent patient care across the practice.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with current RCVS registration
  • Enjoys communicating with clients and building lasting relationships
  • Has a friendly, compassionate and proactive approach
  • Is passionate about preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing
  • Would like the opportunity to develop and expand nurse-led services
