Stanley House Veterinary Group is sadly saying goodbye to some much-loved colleagues who are emigrating, and we’re now looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join our friendly, supportive team in East Lancashire.

We're a well-established, RCVS-accredited practice and are excited to have recently achieved RCVS Veterinary Hospital Status, recognising our commitment to exceptional patient care, clinical excellence and practice standards.

Our Practice Includes:

  • A purpose-built Veterinary Hospital in Colne
  • A consulting and operating branch in Burnley
  • A consulting branch in Barnoldswick
  • Our own 24/7 out-of-hours service, providing continuity of care for our patients
  • Modern facilities including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, endoscopy, dedicated surgical theatres and separate canine and feline wards

The Role

  • Full-time position – 40 hours per week (Flexible working options available)
  • Some branch work may include sole-charge consulting
  • Participation in OOH rota (weekends only)-1 in 8 Fri & Sun on call (Mon and Tue off in lieu)
  • 1in 8 Saturdays - a Friday off in lieu
  • Working alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team, with certificate holders in medicine, dentistry and emergency and critical care, supported by a highly skilled nursing team

We provide our own OOH service, with experienced vets and a dedicated night nurse team, ensuring continuity of care

Who We’re Looking For

  • An experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for small animal practice
  • Confident in routine consultations and surgery, with VetGDP completed
  • Keen to work with a diverse and interesting caseload
  • Interested in developing and strengthening in-house services — particularly surgery or orthopaedics
  • Motivated to continue learning and growing within a supportive, well-resourced team
