Looking for a role that offers lots of variety and a great work life balance? We are keen to welcome a new colleague to join our warm and friendly team based at our RCVS accredited, purpose-built Brighton Veterinary Hospital. This part-time night role is focused on being part of our growing medicine and emergency team that manages the large caseload we see from our branches and subscribing practices.
We are looking for an experienced and approachable team player who has an active interest in Emergency and Critical Care.
About us:
- Coastway Vets has been providing outstanding care to the region’s pets for 45 years.
- Our fantastic team of passionate professionals is dedicated to excellence in veterinary medicine.
- We have our large central Brighton hospital, plus 5 fully equipped branch practices and cover OOH for multiple other practices in the Brighton area.
- Our Brighton hospital has 8 consulting rooms, dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation and day procedure wards, three theatres, and prep areas, CT, dental suite and full in-house lab with a dedicated lab technician.
- Two dedicated hospital vets manage our hospitalised medical caseload during the day, and handover to the night team including RVN and Animal Nursing Assistant.
- We have a separate exotics team during the day, so the nights include the care of exotic inpatients.
- Our team has multiple certificate holders and colleagues with a huge range of clinical interests and expertise, including referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics.
- We are committed to continuing the further development of our team members, with ample opportunity for learning and development through dedicated in-house and external CPD.
About the role:
- Sole charge, with full ward handover to ensure optimal communication.
- Rota – 4 on 20 off (shift - 7pm - 9am).
- Working alongside a highly experienced Night Nurse and Animal Nursing Assistant.
- Opportunities to develop.
- Fully resourced day team to manage day to day cases.
- Opportunity for additional shifts to cover holidays.
Salary - £32,500 - £35,850 (based on 16.38 hours per week). This is a rare opportunity to step into an outstanding role that offers exceptional work-life balance!
