We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our out-of-hours team.
About Us:
We are a busy Veterinary Hospital located in the heart of Bridgwater, Somerset, and have a small branch practice in the beautiful village of Nether Stowey both dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to their owners. Our team is passionate about animal welfare, and we pride ourselves on our friendly, supportive work environment. We work in partnership with Somerset Veterinary Emergency Clinic (SVEC), a dedicated out-of-hours provider for practices across the Somerset region. SVEC delivers high-quality emergency care during nights, weekends, and bank holidays on behalf of its member practices. Operating from the RCVS-accredited Quantock Veterinary Hospital, SVEC is fully equipped to provide exceptional emergency and critical care, ensuring continuity of service and professional support for local veterinary teams.
Role Overview:
The role will involve working at our main hospital in Bridgwater alongside the night vet and together providing care for the inpatients, as well as preparing for OOH surgeries and carrying out anaesthesia. You will also work alongside a twilight team member who will support you with arranging appointments, triaging patients upon arrival, and supporting with infection control. As a hospital we see a range of species and a varied case-load ranging from traumas, toxin ingestions, blocked bladders, GDVs, C-sections, and much more!
Rota:
It is a 4 nights on, 7 nights off, 3 nights on, 7 nights off rolling rota. The shift is 19.00 - 08.30.
