Hampden Vets delivers the very highest standards of modern veterinary care to pets, horses, and farm animals, with branches across Aylesbury and the surrounding areas. You will be based at our RCVS accredited Hampden Veterinary Hospital.

About us: Come and join our fantastic team in our multi-discipline hospital that’s open 24/7, 365 days a year and has state-of-the-art facilities including CT and dental x-ray. Our large team of animal lovers comprises of 23 RVNs and 4 PCAs, including certificate holders and specialists, so there will be no shortage of support and camaraderie to help you settle into your new role. We actively encourage your growth and fulfilment at Hampden Vets, and you will be fully supported with generous funding for CPD. We pride ourselves on the care we provide and we’re proud of our team! The Role: We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed RVN. A particular interest in nurse clinics is desirable but we are looking for someone who is also happy in ward and theatre.

  • 40 hrs/week, covering 4 x 10-hour shifts ranging between 07.30 and 19.30hrs (open to part-time applications) – our rota is great for work/life balance!
  • 1 in 6 weekends (lieu time for this) and participation in the bank holiday rota
  • No night shift working as we have a dedicated nights team in place
  • In our small animal hospital, with a high exotic case load you will have lots of variety rotating through theatre, ward, nurse clinics and dispensing/admitting/discharge shifts.

The Area: Aylesbury, a bustling market town is situated in Buckinghamshire, South East England. This town comes with many great attractions and is home to the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery. It is also a great base for exploring the scenic Chiltern Hills, where you can hike, bike, or picnic among the rolling countryside. There are good travel links with London under 50 miles away by road and under an hour by train.
