We are looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, community-focused practice at Alsager Vet Centre, on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident vet who is comfortable with sole charge and enjoys a varied GP caseload, combining both consulting and surgical responsibilities.

The Role

  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week
  • Rota shared across South Side Veterinary Practices (Alsager & Winsford)
  • Weekend participation as part of a shared rota, which may include work across other sites within the group, including potential support at our partner hospital
  • No out-of-hours – offering a great work life balance
  • Mix of consulting and surgery within a true first-opinion setting
  • Opportunity to take clinical responsibility and work independently when required

Salary – up to £63,376 dependent on experience

About You

  • Have solid experience in small animal first opinion practice
  • Are confident working in sole charge
  • Enjoy a broad GP caseload, including both medicine and surgery
  • Are proactive and keen to contribute to the continued growth of the practice
  • Value building strong relationships with clients and the local community
  • Have an interest in supporting and mentoring new graduate vets, contributing to their development within a supportive team environment
