Abbey Veterinary Centres has a standout opportunity for a Clinical Director/Practice Director to join our friendly, well established, multi‑site practice and make a genuine and lasting impact.
The Practice
- Our experienced team has been looking after pets across Monmouthshire, Gwent and Powys since the 1980s, providing the highest standards of veterinary care.
- 4 lovely, well‑equipped RCVS‑accredited branches – Abergavenny (our main hub), Monmouth, Brecon and Tredegar.
- Strong team of 12 vets, including cert holders in Surgery, Medicine & Radiology and visiting specialists, plus an exceptionally skilled nursing team and valued support colleagues.
- A stable, loyal client base with a strong focus on quality care.
The Role
- Full‑time or part‑time considered for the right candidate (minimum 25 hours per week, up to full‑time).
- Mon‑Fri (willingness to take part in a shared Saturday rota for MRCVS candidates).
- You’ll take a central leadership role within the practice, with the autonomy to shape clinical standards, develop your team, and influence the future direction of the service, effectively steering the practice through periods of change.

Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to senior colleagues and the veterinary team.
