We are looking for a full-time Small Animal Vet on a fixed term Maternity Cover basis to join our fun and friendly team at our Berwick-Upon-Tweed branch. We are in North Northumberland, next to the coast and the beautiful Scottish Borders, with the added bonus of being within an hour drive from Edinburgh/Newcastle. The branch is part of the wider Galedin team within the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. We are part of the VetPartners Group family.
We are a very friendly social team and try to get out as often as possible. In the summer, colleagues from our Berwick branch will often go wild swimming after work and we try to do a bit of fun team building - from rowing on the Tweed to outdoor water sport adventures at Fox Lake to pottery and yoga classes!
Our small animal work includes surgery and consults with access to all the mod cons including endoscopes, dental x-ray, good quality ultrasound and EPOC bloods etc. We aim to provide an excellent first opinion service with clinical freedom to follow cases up and a large team of small animal vets for support and case discussion.
The Role
- Full-time - 40 hours over 4.5 days with an hour lunch break
- We are proud to provide our own OOH care, with our colleagues receiving time in lieu after on call shifts. Saturday mornings and OOH shifts are on a rota.
- Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent on experience
