We’re excited to welcome an enthusiastic and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, award-winning 6-vet team on a permanent basis. The Role
This is a general practice role suited to a capable all-rounder who enjoys variety. You’ll be:
- Seeing a wide range of GP cases
- Comfortable with routine consultations and surgery
- Occasionally working in sole charge (with support always available from our other branch)
- Working closely with a collaborative, experienced team
Salary up to £60,000 FTE depending on experience

This role is ideally suited to an experienced vet, but we remain open to those earlier in their career who have built a strong foundation.
Work-Life Balance
We know how important balance is, and we’re proud to offer:
- Approx. 30 hours per week (part-time)
- We try to be as flexible as possible and are happy to discuss what works for you around commitments
- Standard day: 9am – 6:30/7pm, with one earlier finish each week
- No out of hours or on-call
- Shared weekend rota: max 1 in 5 Saturday & Sunday mornings (clients only)
Great Dunmow offers excellent transport links, including easy access to the A120, nearby M11, and London Stansted Airport just 6 minutes’ drive away, allowing our vets to maximise downtime thanks to quick, convenient travel options.
