The Role
- Full‑time position – 40 hours per week. Part‑time can be considered
- Flexible working options available
- Some branch work may include sole‑charge consulting
- Participation in OOH rota (weekends only)
- 1 in 8 Fri & Sun on call (Mon and Tue off in lieu), 1 in 8 Saturdays – a Friday off in lieu
We provide our own OOH service, with experienced vets and a dedicated night nurse team, ensuring continuity of care.

- An experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for small animal practice
- Confident in routine consultations and surgery, with VetGDP completed
- Keen to work with a diverse and interesting caseload
- Interested in developing and strengthening in‑house services – particularly surgery or orthopaedics

Certificate holders in medicine, dentistry and ECC, alongside highly skilled RVNs with certificates in ECC, surgery, anaesthesia and physiotherapy. Digital x‑ray and ultrasound. Two surgical theatres. Dental suite with dental x‑ray. In‑house laboratory. Separate canine and feline wards. Comfortable team break areas and on‑call flat. Generous CPD allowance with paid CPD days. Access to peripatetic specialist support in ultrasonography and cardiology. RCVS membership, VDS cover, and professional subscriptions. 6.6 weeks annual leave (pro‑rata). Volunteer leave. Cycle‑to‑Work scheme. Optional private medical insurance.
