Overview

Full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse required to join our team, based mainly at our Belfast clinics. This is a busy role which would suit an experienced RVN or a qualified RVN early in their nursing career who is keen to learn and progress.

You will work closely with our experienced team of vets and will contribute to all aspects of nursing at the clinic. You will be a good communicator, motivated, efficient, able to deliver a high standard of customer and patient care and willing to work both independently and as part of a team.

We are an independent, 1st opinion practice seeing a wide and varied caseload of medical, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. We have excellent, modern facilities including X-ray, scanners, endoscopy and in-house laboratory and a number of external specialists who see referral patients within our clinics.

You will work five eight hour shifts per week. Your rota will usually include one evening per week and rotational Friday evenings. You will work a 1 in 5 weekend rota for which you will get time off in lieu. Out of hours/On Call work is not required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all aspects of nursing at the clinic in collaboration with vets and nurses.
  • Provide high standards of patient and client care and effective communication within the team.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to support the veterinary service.

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current registration.
  • Either an experienced RVN or a qualified RVN early in their nursing career who is keen to learn and progress.
