This new UK veterinary group building a different kind of first-opinion practice and they're looking for an experienced (3 years +) Veterinary Surgeon to join the founding clinical team.
This isn't simply an opportunity to join an established practice. As a founding vet, you'll have a genuine say in how the practice develops, from clinical protocols and the client journey through to the culture of the team.
The practice operates a subscription-first membership model, designed to reduce the focus on individual treatment costs and give vets more freedom to concentrate on the best clinical decision for each patient.
You'll work as a first-opinion GP vet with a varied caseload and will enjoy:
- Dedicated admin time built into your day
- Referral support for more challenging cases
- Direct ambulance support to the referral hospital when referral is required
- Opportunities to participate in clinical audits and CPD
- Input into how the practice develops and operates
Newly qualified vets with strong foundations will also be considered.
The group is building its practices around long-term relationships rather than transactional consultations.
The subscription model is designed to reduce the pressure to upsell in the consulting room, allowing vets to focus on making the right clinical decision for each patient.
They're also investing in technology, systems and practice design with the aim of giving clinical teams the information, tools and time they need to do their best work.
The Offer:
- Salary: £50,000-£70,000 (DOE)
- 4 (Mon-Thur) or 3 (Fri-Sun) day week
- £2,000 minimum annual CPD budget
- Protected CPD time
- VDS and RCVS fees paid
- Pension contribution
- Wellbeing support
- Gym subsidy
- Pet discounts
- Dedicated admin time
- Referral support
- Career development opportunities
- Opportunity to influence the development of a brand-new practice
This role will suit a vet who wants more than simply joining another practice.
You’ll be one of the clinicians helping establish the culture, systems and clinical standards from the ground up, with the backing of a wider referral network and a group that's deliberately trying to rethink how first-opinion veterinary care is delivered.
