We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our established and thriving practice on the beautiful Isle of Man.

This is a varied equine-only role within a supportive and experienced team, where you’ll be encouraged to develop your clinical skills while enjoying a unique island lifestyle.

  • Equine-only caseload with a mix of ambulatory and clinic-based work
  • Experienced team of 17 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 20 support staff

How You’ll Make a Difference

As an Equine Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver high standards of care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

  • Provide high-quality equine veterinary care through a mix of ambulatory and clinic-based work
  • Manage a range of cases including routine, emergency, and ongoing care
  • Participate in the on-call rota (approximately 1 in 10 nights/weekends)
  • Contribute to a supportive team culture and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Build strong relationships with clients and the local equine community
  • Working Pattern
  • Full-time: 38 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
  • Flexible and part-time applications welcomed

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys equine work and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility) with the RCVS
  • Experience in equine practice or a strong interest in developing equine skills
  • Confidence in handling a variety of equine cases (or eagerness to develop)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work
