We are working with an independent family owned 4 vet practice in the beautiful coastal town of Whitby in North Yorkshire. Their small animal client base continues to grow and now accounts for 90% of their workload, with the remaining 10% being equine.
The role is for a small animal vet, but if you also have an interest in equine, you are more than welcome to get involved. They work closely with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue and with a local wildlife sanctuary.
This practice has been family run, caring for animals in the local area for over 7 decades, since it was established in 1946. Vets work a 4-day week here, with a set day off, and they finish early on Friday. They have a 1:4 weekend rota, and one night a week on call, with a nurse. Less experienced vets will have backup in place.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate looking for a supportive and experienced team. You are strongly recommended to follow your passions here, and this is a place with a learning and development culture. You will have dedicated time throughout the day to catch up on phone calls and admin, with a daily scheduled lunch break.
Their recent Practice Standards Inspector commented that their "diary set up was very good and allowed for breaks for vets and catch up time."
