The Vet Office is working with a 24-hour emergency and referral veterinary hospital in Richmond upon Thames, Greater London, to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their busy and highly skilled clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospital environment and is motivated by delivering high standards of patient and client care. The hospital manages a diverse caseload ranging from routine nursing procedures to complex emergency and critical cases, offering strong clinical exposure and development opportunities.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care across all areas of the hospital, working closely with experienced veterinary surgeons and fellow nurses. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to further develop clinical and professional skills within a supportive and collaborative team. This position is full time and based within a 24-hour hospital setting. Shift patterns will include a fair rota of out-of-hours and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across wards, consults, theatre and emergency cases
- Support nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 activities
- Monitor patients, manage admissions and discharges
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, surgeries and emergency treatments
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
