About the Role: We are actively recruiting on behalf of our exclusive clients, a range of dynamic and reputable veterinary practices located throughout the UK. They are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurses to become integral members of their highly skilled nursing teams. These roles present an excellent opportunity for RVNs to utilise their full range of skills, contribute to exceptional patient care, and grow professionally within forward-thinking clinics. Our clients offer varied caseloads, allowing nurses to gain extensive experience across all aspects of veterinary nursing.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Veterinary Surgeons in consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and providing peri-operative care.
  • Performing Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate.
  • Running nurse clinics (e.g., weight clinics, dental checks, puppy/kitten checks).
  • Administering medications and treatments.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control.
  • Providing compassionate patient care and client support.
  • Managing and maintaining stock and equipment.

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RVN).
  • Solid experience in a veterinary practice setting.
  • Proficiency in anaesthesia, surgical nursing, and patient care.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A compassionate and caring approach to animal welfare.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
