At Independence Hall, we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. We are seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our behavioral health programming.

This position collaborates as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team within substance abuse treatment programs. The role provides guidance and counseling support as needed by overseeing and accompanying the patient in various program activities to ensure conformance with program schedules, standards, and policies.

Shifts and Compensation

  • Full Time, Monday-Friday, 2nd shift (3pm-11pm)
  • Part Time, Saturday & Sunday, 1st shift (7am-3pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), or 3rd shift (11pm-7am)
  • The hourly base rate starts at $20.00 per hour. There is a $2 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift and an additional $2 weekend differential.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the patient and treatment team to develop substance abuse treatment goals and interventions, based on client’s substance abuse/mental health history and current needs.
  • Provides support, resources, education, and both internal and external referrals for services.
  • Oversees client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies. Provides guidance as needed.
  • Facilitates psychoeducational client groups and group activities.
  • Provides crisis intervention and follows specific procedures in emergency situations.
  • Attends and participates in all meetings and maintains audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms in a timely manner, as required.
  • Completes individually assigned program-specific duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. An Associate’s degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant is highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders is required.
  • Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training is strongly preferred.
  • MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.
  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
