At Independence Hall, we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. We are seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our behavioral health programming.
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Finance, Development and Administration, the Admissions Manager would be responsible for the admissions personnel and intake and billing matters for our behavioral health program. This individual exercises discretion and independent judgment to oversee the activities of staff and the financial processes, to ensure fiscal responsibility of the behavioral health program.
What You\’ll Be Responsible For
- Overseeing a team of employees responsible for insurance eligibility, BSAS enrollments, patient intakes, referrals, and medical billing
- Assist in coordinating initial assessments, verify eligibility, and manage intake documents.
- Developing workflow procedures for the Admissions Team and working with Clinical leaders on Policies and Procedures
- Liaise with clinical teams, insurance providers, and referral sources to ensure a seamless admissions process
- Maintain adherence to BSAS, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
- Provide compassionate support to clients and families, addressing questions and concerns as they enter the program
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Must Have
- Minimum of an associate\’s degree in a related field, bachelor\’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of medical receptionist/office experience in a comparable health care setting required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience in a clinical or community-based setting highly preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience in a medical practice.
- Experience with insurance verification of member benefits/eligibility, contracting, credentialing, and EHR experience is highly desirable.
- Must be able to pass a CORI and background investigation.
- Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
