Location: Surbiton, Shepperton and Teddington (Southwest London/Surrey)

Salary: From £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: Full-time 38.3-hour working week over 4 weekdays (Monday–Friday) with a set day off each week. 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) and 1 in 12 Sundays (10:00 am – 4:00 pm). No out-of-hours (OOH) responsibilities.
We are looking for an experienced, full-time veterinary surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team in Southwest London/Surrey! You’ll enjoy the independence to manage your own cases, while also having access to guidance from colleagues with a wide range of expertise, including certificate holders. We value collaboration but equally respect your clinical autonomy. Work–life balance is very important to us, and our carefully structured rota is designed with this in mind.
Outside of work, our team enjoys regular social activities, from quiz nights to seasonal events such as Easter egg hunts, Halloween parties, and summer and Christmas celebrations.
Vet4Life is a modern, well-established first-opinion small animal practice, located on the Surrey/Middlesex border. We’re within walking distance of the Southwestern train line, making London easily accessible. With three sites across Surbiton, Teddington, and Shepperton, we are proud to be RCVS-accredited and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an endoscope, laparoscopic kit, ultrasound scanner, CR radiography, Class 4 laser, and a fully equipped in-house lab.
Vet4Life has a wonderful team of 10 vets. The team includes vets and nurses with certificates in emergency and critical care, advanced veterinary practice, small animal surgery, small animal medicine, surgical nursing, and consulting. We also have special interests across dermatology, cardiology, exotics, and wellbeing, making our practice a diverse and stimulating place to work. Above all, we believe that providing the best care for our clients and their pets starts with ensuring our team has the tools, resources, and supportive environment they need to excel.
Example weekday shifts: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm or 10:00 am – 7:30 pm
