Overview

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced Head Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Lynton Vets from October 2025.

If you have a passion for leadership, customer service, experience in a veterinary reception, and are keen to make a difference in a busy veterinary environment, we\'d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception team and greet and interact with clients in a welcoming and professional manner, ensuring every visit is a positive experience.
  • Manage appointment bookings, handle queries, and take payments, while also dispensing medication and assisting with general administrative tasks.
  • Handle account queries, chase outstanding debt, manage payments, and complete end-of-day banking and monitor petty cash records.
  • Support the team with any other administrative tasks as required by the Practice Manager or Clinical Director.

We are a long-established, Small Animal Veterinary Group. As a progressive practice we recently relocated to our brand new, purpose-built practice in Woking, and continue to invest to refurbish and equip our other 2 practices to the same high standard. The practice maintains state of the art clinical equipment such as dental radiography, Virtual Veterinary equipment (VVS) ultrasound scanners, anaesthetic multiparameter and patient warming equipment. We also have a purpose-built grooming salon at our main site. We have a loyal client base and a gold standard reputation across the local community. We have great transport links to London and the beauty and history of Surrey on our doorstep ready to explore.

Our 6 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 ANAs and experienced Receptionists across the Group. We have a family-like culture in practice and a truly supportive ethos. Each practice has an essential SOS chocolate station, and we are never short of cake with some excellent bakers across the group!

Your shift pattern

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, covering a variety of shifts including Saturdays on a shared rota as required.
