We are hiring! Here at Galemire, we are looking for a confident and caring Animal Nursing Assistant to join our team.
Your role involves delivering high-standard nursing support to inpatients, supporting clinical team members, and assisting non-clinical staff to ensure a high-quality client and patient journey. You will also maintain the clinical environment and follow biosecurity and H+S regulations. The role includes enrolling in a Level 2 VCA apprenticeship or completing an internal program.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Maintaining inpatient care under supervision.
- Communicating with the clinical team and clients effectively.
- Assisting with clinical procedures and maintaining practice standards.
- Supporting practice operations, including hygiene, biosecurity, and stock management.
- Supporting clinical and non-clinical duties as required.
Duties Will Include
- Monitoring and recording patient parameters.
- Providing environmental enrichment and emotional support to patients.
- Assisting with animal mobility, feeding, restraint, and post-operative recovery.
- Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and clinical equipment.
- Supporting infection control and waste disposal.
- Maintaining accurate records and assisting with medication dispensation.
This is a part-time permanent role working 30 hours per week, with shifts between 08:00-19:00 Monday to Friday.
