Glenshane Veterinary Clinics, situated in Mid-Ulster, are looking for a farm or mixed vet with a farm bias to join our friendly team. There are 3 branches located in Maghera, Kilrea and Dungiven, at the foot of the Sperrins, not far from NI’s North Coast, with a great bus connection to Belfast and L’Derry and close to the airports. If you enjoy a true mix of beef, sheep and dairy veterinary work then Glenshane vets is the place you want to check out.

Farm work includes:

  • TB testing
  • Routine and emergency calls
  • Fertility and health visits

There is also the option to do some routine companion animal work.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Fully approved UK driving license essential.
  • Applicants need to be registered with the RCVS or VCI.
  • Some experience preferred, but newly graduated vets will be considered.

Benefits and Conditions

  • Competitive salary up to 70k depending on experience.
  • The rota includes 1/5 weekend with TOIL for weekend work and 1 night/week.
  • CPD funded and company vehicle and accommodation are available.
  • RCVS, AVSPNI & BVA membership & VDS cover are provided.

Locations and Additional Info

We have the usual toys: Easyscan, Ovocyte, ram fertility testing equipment, Idexx Lab station, VetImagyst, X-Ray, small ruminant ops table and a farm crush/handling facilities at 2 of the branches.
