Overview

F/T or P/T Equine Veterinary Surgeon. A role that respects your time and talent. £40k – £55k pro‑rated – DOE. Based near Leek. Location: Small but growing team in the beautiful village of Endon, near Leek, with the Peak District on the doorstep and Stoke‑on‑Trent just down the road.

Responsibilities & Work Environment

You’ll be happy working independently while still enjoying collaboration with experienced vets and a brilliantly efficient office crew to keep the day running smoothly. The practice prides itself on gold‑standard care without burning out – no rushed consultations, no unrealistic targets, just support to do the job well with the tools you need.

Hours are flexible – typically 8:30‑5:30 but most people finish around 5 p.m. Overtime is paid, there is a bonus scheme for all staff and an “Employee of the Month” reward that can earn an extra day off.

Qualifications

  • Around two or more years’ equine experience
  • Able to work independently but values collaboration and second opinions
  • Comfortable with diagnostic equipment (digital X-ray, dental tools, ultrasound, endoscope, gastroscope, shockwave machine)
