Role Summary

We are looking for a commercially sharp, relationship-driven Strategic Account Manager to own and grow our partner relationships.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the day-to-day owner of our live B2B partnerships - keeping them healthy, growing revenue within them, and making sure every newly signed partner is onboarded quickly and successfully.

Our partners include some of the biggest names in UK pet insurance - Animal Friends, Many Pets, Waggel, etc - alongside our new US partners.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of signed, marquee accounts at a fast-scaling AI pet-health company and turn them into long‑term, expanding revenue.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the partner portfolio: Act as the primary day-to‑day contact and trusted advisor for our live UK insurance partners and US partners, owning the health, retention and satisfaction of every relationship.
  • Grow revenue within accounts: Identify, build the business case for, and close expansion opportunities inside existing partners - new products, new geographies, deeper penetration and cross‑sell - to grow account value year on year.
  • New customer onboarding: Lead the onboarding of newly signed partners across UK and US, coordinating internal teams (Product, Clinical, Tech) to deliver a fast, smooth launch and a strong first impression.
  • Commercial performance: Own renewals, contract negotiations and commercial reviews for your accounts; track partner‑level KPIs and run regular business reviews with each key partner.
  • Voice of the partner: Feed partner needs, feedback and market intelligence back into Product and Clinical so our roadmap and messaging reflect what partners need to succeed.
  • Reporting and collaboration: Give the CEO clear, regular reporting on account health, expansion pipeline, renewal risk and revenue vs target, and work closely with Product, Clinical Operations and Customer Support to deliver on every partner commitment.

Knowledge/Experience required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in account management, partnerships, or commercial B2B / B2B2C roles, ideally within the pet, veterinary, insurance, healthcare or technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of retaining and growing strategic accounts against a revenue number, hitting renewal and expansion / upsell targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience negotiating and managing multi‑year, multi‑six‑figure partner contracts.
  • Excellent relationship‑building, communication and stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable operating from working level up to C‑suite.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret partner performance data (volumes, penetration, retention, loss ratios) and turn it into commercial action.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple accounts and onboarding projects in parallel.
  • Comfort working with data and reporting tools.

The ideal candidate would have

  • Experience managing accounts in one or more of our core verticals: pet insurance or corporate / employee‑benefit channels.
  • Experience owning and growing a portfolio of strategic B2B accounts, ideally in a partnership / B2B2C model.
  • Worked in a limited‑oversight, results‑driven, fast‑paced scale‑up environment.
  • Experience onboarding new partners and coordinating cross‑functional launch teams, including across UK and US time zones.

Who we are

We are Vet‑AI, and we are delivering the pet care of the future.

Our flagship app, Joii Pet Care was created to make pet care affordable and accessible for all pet owners.

Through Joii, pet mums and dads can video call a vet 24/7, use an intelligent pet symptom checker (think NHS 111 but for pets), or seek preventative care through nurse clinics.

And yes - it can all be done from the comfort of home - drastically reducing the need for in‑person vet trips.

Our mission

  • To make pet care affordable and accessible for everyone.
  • To improve the lives and wellbeing of everyone working within the veterinary industry.

Quite simply, we want vet care to be available to everyone, and to ensure the people who are delivering it with us are as happy as they can be. We’re called Joii, after all.

Our brand values

  • Brave;
  • We are not afraid to disrupt the status quo. Championing what’s right for pets and standing confidently behind our purpose. Even when it’s challenged.
  • We have the courage and confidence to tackle things that nobody has done before.
  • We may face hurdles, adversity, and the fear of failure but we have the conviction to keep going.
  • Boundless;
  • We do not constrain ourselves to the expectations of traditional pet care; we’re young, bright and full of fresh ideas.
  • We bring energy and pro‑activity to everything we do. We’re problem solvers, with a ‘can do’ outlook.
  • Our boundless attitude brings the joy.
  • Togetherness;
  • We share an ‘in‑it‑together’ mindset. We’re one team; we don’t leave anyone to face problems alone when we can help.
  • We champion empathy and compassion; caring about what our customers and our colleagues are going through. Going above and beyond when they need us.
  • We strive for constant collaboration, no matter where we are in the world
