The job holder plays a key role in increasing business volume and margins by identifying and developing new opportunities for the products of Flow Control and Advanced Refractories while securing existing, profitable customer relationships with British Steel in the long term. Continuous monitoring of competitive activities is essential in order to identify market changes at an early stage and respond to them strategically. Building and maintaining trusting relationships across all hierarchical levels and confident negotiation skills are key expectations for this position.
The job holder will be responsible for supporting and growing the sales at the current customer British Steel.
- Develop Steel (Flow Control & Advanced Refractories) products & services sales at customers
- Assist customer in the usage of Steel products/services and solve problems (refractory and mechanical)
- Offer technical responses to customer needs through the offer of new products/services
- Respond to sales enquiries through preparation of quotes
- Follow products/services trials and prepare report
- Lead technical projects
- Contribute to the elaboration and implementation of the commercial strategy
- Work in collaboration with the customer service administrators, the product specialists, the R&D department and other team members
Requirements:
- Graduate or Master’s degree (engineering or business), combined with a strong technical background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Sales in industry (Steel industry being a +)
- Fluent in English
- Ability to meet new people and build network
- Proficient in using Microsoft suite, especially Excel
- A valid work permit for UK is essential
